Our apprenticeship programme

When you become an apprentice at Mira, you'll experience much more than a job. Our award-winning programme aims to go beyond the training you need to succeed in your role. When you start with us, you'll receive mentoring, opportunities within STEAM, a chance to attend our annual apprentice residential, and a 'buddy' to support you throughout your apprenticeship journey.

Business apprenticeships

Our Business Apprenticeships are a great way to gain hands-on experience whilst working towards a recognised qualification. With a mix of on and off-site training, development and coaching, you will contribute to real projects that make an impact, whilst working with teams such as Marketing, Customer Service and Supply Chain. Join us and start shaping your career from day one!

Level 4 Project Management

You'll achieve a Level 4 Associate Project Manager qualification.

A minimum of 5 GSCEs , achieved or predicted, A*- C or 9 - 4 to include English, Maths and successful completion of Level 3 qualification (e.g. A-Level, BTEC etc.) with grades (or predicted grades) equating to 96 UCAS points or above (typically 3 C’s at A-level).

The duration of the course is 2 years.

Theoretical studies will be completed online every 4-6 weeks with our learning provider, The Learning Curve Group. This will be complemented with hands-on work based projects aligned to your studies.

The starting salary is £17,000. Additional bonuses are available, and access to the company pension.

You will be based at our Headquarters in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Level 4 Data Analyst

You'll achieve a Level 4 Data Analyst qualification.

A minimum of 5 GSCEs, achieved or predicted, A*- C or 9 - 4 to include English, Maths , and successful completion of Level 3 qualification (e.g. A-Level, BTEC etc.) with grades (or predicted grades) equating to 96 UCAS points or above (typically 3 C’s at A-level).

The duration of the course is 2 years.

Theoretical studies will be completed online every quarter as a block session, followed by a related online workshop. This will be complemented with hands-on, work-based projects aligned to your studies. 

The starting salary is £17,000. Additional bonuses are available, and access to the company pension.

You will be based at our Headquarters in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Level 3 Content Creator

You'll achieve a Level 3 Content Creator qualification.

A minimum of 5 GSCEs, achieved or predicted, A*- C or 9 - 4 to include English, Maths , and successful completion of Level 3 qualification (e.g. A-Level, BTEC etc.) with grades (or predicted grades) equating to 96 UCAS points or above (typically 3 Cs at A-level).

The duration of the course is 18 months. 

Theoretical studies will be completed online every 3-4 weeks, underpinned by quarterly reviews and portfolio sessions. This will be complemented with hands-on, work-based projects aligned to your studies. 

The starting salary is £17,000. Additional bonuses are available, and access to the company pension.

You will be based at our Headquarters in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Engineering apprenticeships

Our Engineering Apprenticeships give you the chance to explore different aspects of Engineering - from Manufacturing to Product Design - through team rotations. This hands-on experience helps you build a broad skill set and discover which path suits you best. You’ll combine on-site training with part-time study, with opportunities to continue developing your skills as you progress.

Level 3 Engineering Technician

You'll achieve an NVQ Level 3 qualification with the opportunity to study for a Higher National Certificate and Diploma.

A minimum of 5 GSCEs, achieved or predicted, A*- C or 9 – 4, including English, Maths and Science.

The duration of the course is a minimum of 3 years.

In your first year, you will study full-time at Gloucestershire Engineering Training (GET) in Barnwood. Year 2 onwards, you will spend 1 day per week at college and the rest on site in Cheltenham.

The starting salary is £15,000. Additional bonuses are available, and access to the company pension.

You will be based at our Headquarters in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Year in Industry placements

Our Year in Industry programme allows you to apply your studies to a real-life business function – giving you practical, relevant work experience before you graduate. We offer 12-month programmes across:

  • Marketing 
  • New Product Development 
  • Industrial Design
  • Supply Chain 

All placements are based in Cheltenham with a salary of £23,500.
