Within the guarantee period we will resolve defects, free of charge, by repairing or replacing parts or modules. To be free of charge, service work must only be undertaken by Mira Showers or our approved agents in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.
Service under this guarantee does not affect the expiry date of the guarantee. The guarantee on any exchanged parts or product ends when the normal product guarantee period expires.
Not covered by this guarantee:
Damage or defects arising from incorrect installation, improper use, lack of maintenance or system debris, including build-up of limescale.
Damage or defects if the product is taken apart, repaired or modified by any person not authorised by Mira Showers or our approved agents.
Mira Showers will not accept any liability for loss of use of the product or any losses that are indirectly associated with the incident that caused you to claim, unless caused by our negligence or that of our agents. For example, loss of earnings due to time taken off work to deal with the incident will not be covered.

All water systems
Showers flagged with the "ALL" symbol are compatible with both mains and low pressure water systems. By fitting a Mira pump when the shower is used on a low pressure system you can significantly increase the flow rate and enjoy a more invigorating showering experience.
Mains Pressure Combination Boiler
A combination boiler heats cold water direct from the cold mains supply as soon as you turn on the shower or a hot tap in your home. The boiler is normally wall mounted and you won't have a cold water tank (cistern) in your loft or a hot water tank (cylinder) in your airing cupboard. Because the water supply to the system is mains fed this produces a forceful showering experience.
For a powerful showering experience we would recommend fitting a digital or mixer shower to this type of system. Alternatively, for a more gentle flow rate you could use one of Mira's electric shower fitted to the cold mains, this is also an ideal low cost option for a second or en-suite shower room.

Mains Pressure Unvented
An unvented mains pressure system stores mains pressure water in a large strengthened hot water tank (cylinder), usually found in the airing cupboard. The hot water will be heated either by immersion heaters fitted in the side of the cylinder or by a central heating boiler. This type of system doesn't require a cold water tank (cistern) in your loft and provides a high water flow rate & pressure. Other systems also producing hot water at mains pressure are available these are generally known as thermal store systems.
To make the best use of the flow & pressure of these systems we would recommend a digital or mixer shower. Alternatively, for a more gentle flow rate you could use one of Mira's eco mixer showers or fit an electric shower to the cold mains, this is an ideal low cost option for a second or en-suite shower room.
Low pressure gravity system
This is the most common of all domestic water systems. The system consists of a cold water tank (or cistern) normally in your loft & a hot water tank (or cylinder) normally in your airing cupboard. It's called a low pressure gravity system because the water is kept under pressure via the gravity-fed water delivered from the cistern. How much pressure is produced is determined by the height at which the base of the cold water cistern is situated above the outlet. This is typically a minimum height of 1metre for showers. The greater the height of the cistern above the showerhead the more pressure is created.
If you have this system you can install a mixer, pumped digital or all-in-one power shower and you will have get a great showering experience. If you decide on a mixer and want a more forceful shower, fitting a pump will boost the flow rate & pressure even more.
Cold Mains Supply
If you do not have or want to use your stored hot water then an ideal solution is to fit an electric shower to the cold mains supply. The benefit of an electric shower is that it is always ready to use as the water is heated instantaneously within the shower. The amount of hot water flow produced by an electric shower depends on the power rating measured in kilowatts (kW). The higher the kW rating the better the flow.
Most mains water supplies will provide enough pressure to operate an electric shower. In the rare instances that it cannot then Mira has an alternative pumped electric shower. This must be fitted to a cold water tank (cistern) supply and the internal pump will then generate the pressure normally provided by the cold mains.

The BEAB Approved Mark is an electrical safety mark. It demonstrates to everyone in the supply chain that the UK's leading, independent approvals specialists have evaluated a product to the highest European and International standards. Backed by the expert knowledge of the approvals engineers, the BEAB Approved Mark can provide a robust defence in law against a product liability claim.
BEAB CARE Mark
The BEAB CARE Mark has been developed in recognition of the additional performance requirements of certain products within the care industry. It is available for products which have already complied with the appropriate electrical safety standard, and in addition have been tested against an exacting special test schedule developed to measure specific performance issues relating to its application in the care sector.
WRAS
The Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) assesses water fittings products to ensure that they do not waste, misuse, unduly consume or contaminate the water supply, in order to show compliance with Regulation 4 of the requirements of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
Waterwise
The Marque is awarded annually to products which reduce water wastage or raise the awareness of water efficiency. Marques have been awarded across a broad spectrum of products including dishwashers, showerheads, water storing gels for the garden, toilets and urinals, drought resistant turf, domestic water recycling products, water butts, a waterless carwash, tap flow restrictors, a shower timer and devices to reduce the amount of water used when flushing your toilet, amongst others.
TMV2
The TMV Scheme is an independent third party approval scheme administered by Buildcert. The TMV Scheme certifies Type 2 thermostatic mixing valves for the domestic market and is working with the Child Accident Prevention Trust to promote the safe use of hot water in domestic premises, with the immediate focus on social housing. TMV2 approval uses BS EN 1111 and 1287 as a basis for the thermostatic valves performance tests.
TMV3
TMV3 valves are engineered to a high standard so that they meet Government Health and Safety requirements for use in public places such as Schools, Hospitals, Offices etc. Predominantly used in the healthcare industry, however, every employer has a duty under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 to ensure that the health and safety of patients, residents, visitors and staff using a building are not at risk, and this applies to all types of buildings, not just healthcare premises.
Water Efficient Product
The Water Efficient Product Labelling Scheme has been developed by the BMA - the lead trade association for manufacturers of bathroom products in the United Kingdom. The Scheme raises awareness of bathroom products that when installed and used correctly use less water, therefore saving water and energy, whilst delivering the bathing experience we have come to expect.
Many of Mira's products now meet the criteria of the Water Efficiency Scheme, and can be easily identified by the BMA logo.
