HPM ADVERTORIAL - Power and Extreme
Millions of homes still have a gravity fed hot water system but these customers also want their bathroom to be up to the minute with a powerful, revitalising shower. That’s where Mira comes to the rescue with power showering.
Mira offers two routes to power showering
When the customer wants a deluge shower, like the Mira Mode or Realm, or wants to ensure optimum performance from a Mira Excel or other mixer shower, the answer is a Mirauniversal shower pump.
Pumping both hot and cold water Mira’s universal pump can provide up to 24litres a minute at 1.0 bar pressure. Its magnetic induction motor is quiet running and the pump sits on rubber feet to reduce noise. Integral flow switches make operation automatic and the in-built pressure regulator balances the output pressures to ensure consistent thermostatic operation at the shower valve.
A universal pump is normally installed near the hot water cylinder as the hot and cold pipework connection to it should be run separately from the supplies to the other outlets.
What about when the customer does not want to change the pipework or just wants to squeeze in an extra shower by connecting to existing hot and cold supplies? This time the answer is an all-in-one thermostatic power shower.
The top of the range Mira Extreme gives all the features and showering performance for the most demanding customer. Built into its stylish white case is a small but powerful 150W pump capable of delivering 16 litres flow a minute at 1·0 bar pressure. Control for the customer is easy. The flow rate is selected by push buttons and the water temperature by the dial. A push button gives on/off control and the shower will remain set at the desired level each time the customers uses it. The shower comes with the Logic fitting which gives four spray patterns and rub clean nozzles, ideal for hard water areas . Also included is a wall mounted soap dish and the slide bar has a hose retaining/gel hook.
A maximum temperature stop is included which provides a safety feature if the shower is to be used by the elderly or young.
Installation is straight-forward. Water connections are 15mm push fit and can be made to the top, bottom or rear. Electrical connections should have a double pole isolating switch, ideally on a pull cord. Integral filters and a patented valve design protect the pump from debris and mean that it will self prime
The Mira Event XS offers a lower cost alternative in integral power showers and includes dual rotary control. The Event range also offers the full Logic handset and fittings package.
Whether separate or all-in-one, Mira pumped showers offer solutions to customers who perhaps did not think they could enjoy the fun and convenience of a really powerful shower. Since they are easy to install and sell they can pump up your profits too.
