KOHLER MIRA LEADS STEP CHANGE IN THERMOSTATIC MIXER SHOWERS

Shower market number one Kohler Mira is set to lead a fundamental step change in the thermostatic mixer shower market with the re-launch of market best-seller, Mira Excel, and the introduction of new high pressure mixer, Mira Fino.

The Mira-made quality standard is evident in all aspects of the new Mira Excel and Fino. These newly designed, styled and competitively priced products, as a result of a technology breakthrough, have been developed to give optimum performance, easy installation and improved reliability.

Mira Excel currently accounts for a massive 10% of the shower market value and Consult GB estimates predict over 7% volume growth in the mixer shower market for 2003.

Mixing Perfection
Extensive research and design is at the real heart of the new ranges, which are 100% Mira designed and tested. Experimenting with, and ultimately implementing untapped new technologies has allowed a greater understanding of the way in which water mixes. The mixing capability of the new Mira Excel and Fino was developed using Computational Fluid Dynamics, a CAD tool that has allowed Mira to design and patent new mixing technologies providing best-in-class performance in three key areas: loo flush, decline of hot water and rapid temperature adjustment. This technology has also led to the development of a shower with the ultimate performance on high press systems – the Mira Fino.

Maximising Performance
Common problems for installers are limescale and water borne debris. To combat this, Mira Excel and Fino contain larger filters than ever before. The ranges incorporate low friction Ceramic Plate Disc Technology to deal with limescale and give super smooth control while thermal and spray plate performance is unaffected even if 50-70% blocked.

LeakSafe design
All built-in models have LeakSafe body seals to protect the wall in any event of a leakage.
