Mira Showers Statement on COVID-19
Please find our latest business update - 24th April 2020
Following on from the UK Government’s announcement last week, I wanted to give you an update on the steps we have taken to protect our staff and our business.
With so many of our customers still closed, we have taken the decision to temporarily operate limited staffing across our departments, with a core team focused on supporting our customers, partners and suppliers. Our contact centre team is working from home and we are open five days a week and our field service team is continuing a limited in-home repairs service for our most vulnerable customers.
As a proud UK manufacturer, reducing our production to essential products has been a tough, yet necessary, decision to take. However, this has allowed us to re-direct our efforts to doing everything we can to support the amazing work of our NHS in the fight against COVID-19. We are continuing to focus on our Rada brand, where demand for our healthcare products is increasing and we have core teams exploring ventilator build and producing masks for our hospitals and key workers.
We believe it is our responsibility to our employees and to our customers and suppliers to restart all of our operations as soon as the UK Government allows. Whenever this time comes, the safety of our employees will continue to be our priority and as such we have implemented strict measures and processes to help safeguard the health of our employees’ and minimise the risk of spread, measures including temperature testing and increased social distancing across all of our UK sites.
We thank all our customers, suppliers and staff for your continued support and look forward to working together again in the not so distant future.

Service Appointment Advice – COVID-19
Following on from our previous announcement regarding the measures we are taking to ensure the safety of our teams as a result of COVID-19, we are continuing a limited in-home repairs service for our most vulnerable customers who need our help the most.
If your shower is your only means of bathing or used for assisted or disabled showering, please call us on 0800 001 4040 and we will do everything we can to arrange a service visit, subject to engineer availability and as long as it is safe for our teams to do so.
For customers whose shower is not their only means of bathing or used for assisted or disabled showering, please, in the first instance, visit our support pages including fault diagnosis and our frequently asked questions which offer advice on how to fix some of the most common faults.
As our contact centre team are all working from home, to manage the calls we have reduced our opening hours and there may be some longer than usual wait times so we recommend that you submit a contact us form and a member of our team will contact you for a full fault-finding session remotely.
We appreciate your patience and understanding and we thank you in advance for helping us ensure we support our most vulnerable customers during this difficult time.
We will continue to communicate any further updates but, in the meantime, please stay safe.
In light of the Government announcement on Monday placing the UK in lockdown, I wanted to update you on what we are doing as a business here at Kohler Mira to support the UK attempt to slow the spread of the Coronavirus.
There are aspects of our business that are essential in supporting the efforts to fight and slow the virus, particularly the products that we build under the Rada brand that are specifically for the healthcare sector. We are seeing increased demand for these products and we believe it is right that we continue to build and distribute them in order to support the amazing work of the NHS.
The health and safety of our team is my number one priority and while we are doing all we can to adhere to the guidelines around social distancing, we are also conscious that there are some products in our portfolio that are not essential during this unprecedented time.
Therefore, we have taken the decision to suspend some operations from Friday 27th March for the next two weeks.
The exception to this is that due to the strength of our UK manufacturing and development, we are currently exploring an opportunity to produce ventilators. Should that become a reality, we will re-open Production to volunteers to come back in and help with that effort.
Our office staff will continue to work from home, including our contact centre colleagues. In order to help them manage calls, we have temporarily reduced our opening hours to 08:00 – 16:00, Monday – Thursday and 08:00 – 15:30 on Fridays.
We are continuing a limited in-home repairs service for our most vulnerable customers, during which our field service team will be strictly adhering to government guidelines to minimise the risk to themselves and others. Where we are unable to attend the property, our expert teams will try to diagnose and then fix the fault remotely.
We thank all our customers, suppliers and staff for your support at this difficult time. Please feel free to get in touch should you need any more specific information.
