Our apprenticeship programme

When you become an apprentice at Mira – you'll experience much more than a job. Our award-winning programme aims to go beyond the training you need to succeed in your role. You'll receive mentoring, opportunities within STEAM, attendance at our annual apprentice residential and a ‘buddy’ when you start with us.

Engineering apprenticeship

Our Engineering apprenticeship rotates through all our Engineering teams – from Manufacturing to Product Design – giving you the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills and discover which business area excites you most. Combining college-based and on-site training, you’ll achieve a Level 3 Apprenticeship – with the chance to progress to HNC/D level.

Business apprenticeship

Our Business apprenticeship offers commercial experience with our Marketing, Service and Supply Chain teams. With a mix of on and offsite training, leadership development and coaching, you’ll study part-time for a Project Management qualification as you learn and develop through your apprenticeship with us.

Our apprenticeship programme – the application process

The first step is to apply online. Then, if you’re successful, we’ll invite you to our assessment day – an informal opportunity for you to learn more about our business, and for us to get to know you better. Just to note, attendance for these days is an important part of the programme, so please make sure you’re free on one of the dates offered before applying.

Year in Industry placements

Our Year in Industry programme allows you to apply your studies to a real-life business function – giving you practical, relevant work experience before you graduate. We offer opportunities across Marketing, Events Management, Human Resources, Operations, New Product Development and Industrial Design.

Work experience placements

We offer both business and engineering-focused work experience placements, designed to offer an insight into a range of business areas – from New Product Development and Manufacturing to Marketing and Customer Service.

To apply, please send a completed application form and short covering letter to earlycareers@mirashowers.com. We’d love to learn more about you – so please tell us about any interests, hobbies or projects that might be relevant to your application.

We need to receive your application by 24th November before your placement year, and we’ll let you know if you’ve been successful by December.
