F1 in Schools is a global multi-disciplinary challenge where teams of students aged 9 to 19 deploy CAD/CAM software to collaborate, design, analyse, manufacture, test and then race miniature compressed air powered cars made from model block.

Kohler Mira are proud to have worked alongside other local companies to support a team from Pates Grammar School in Cheltenham. Kohler Mira provided the resource for machining the wheels and bodies and the funds for virtual wind tunnel software to allow the team to complete analysis and physical testing. A team of engineers also gave design feedback for the mechanical interactions and manufacturability of components.
At the end of February the South West Regional Final was held at Bristol and Bath Science Park, and we’re delighted that the team have made it to the National round!

We look forward to continuing to support the team and seeing how their car develops.
