As a company, Stewardship is at the heart of what we do. Over the last few years, we have adopted four Stewardship pillar: Community, Workplace, Arts and Sustainability. Our place within the Community is a key focus for us and all employees invest a lot of time supporting local charity events.
Here at Mira Showers we are proud of the many ways we support our community; whether it is raising money for local charities or sponsoring our football and rugby teams.
Gloucester Rugby Club
For the past two years, we have been honoured to sponsor the south stand of Gloucester Rugby Club where we can watch their nail-biting games. The club was lucky enough to be have been selected as one of the venues for the 2015 Rugby World Cup and hosted four matches welcoming Tonga, Georgia, Scotland, Japan, Argentina and the USA to Gloucester. We hope they all used a Mira shower after their matches!
Ben Morgan
Our support for the Gloucester Rugby Club goes further than our stand sponsorship. We want to make sure our players enjoy a relaxing Mira shower when they have a day off from training so we provided Ben Morgan, number eight for Gloucester and England, and his wife a bathroom makeover of their family home.
Ben and his wife, Alice, were preparing for the arrival of their first child when the renovation took place and personally selected a variety of Kohler Mira products including the Mira Platinum digital shower and the Kohler Flote Bath. Speaking about the completed bathroom Ben Morgan says: “We are very happy with our new bathroom and we especially love the interior design. Opting for a wall hung WC and vanity basin makes it easy to clean and helps create the illusion of space. The digital shower is perfect and having such precise control over regulating the temperature is a huge benefit for the entire family.”
Last summer Ben paid Kohler Mira a visit where he toured the factory, met associates and even drew the winners of two Elton John tickets in the raffle that helped raised £1,500 for Kohler Mira’s chosen charity of 2015.
Cheltenham Town Football Club
Mira Showers has been a long-time supporter of Cheltenham Town Football Club. Ever since we first sponsored the team in 2008, we have been their proud partner, supporting them at every match. Many of our 700 employees at our Cheltenham site attend regular games, and the weekend match is often the topic of conversation on a Monday morning. Having just signed on until 2018 we can’t wait to see what’s in store for our team. Whatever happens, we will be there to cheer on or commiserate with the team.
