Electric showers are an energy efficient showering option in SAP as they use water from the cold mains supply and only use energy when in use, which helps to reduce demand on the main hot water system. This means that they do not require an additional heating source to heat the water. When coupled with a WWHRS, Mira Heatloop™ technology further enhances efficiency.
Waste water heat recovery for showers (WWHRS), capture the heat from waste shower water, using it to preheat the mains cold water. The preheated water can then be fed back into the shower system, reducing the demand for hot water and saving energy.
