FAQs & Tips for Mira Shower Enclosures

General FAQ

Below are the most commonly asked questions / issues about enclosures and how to solve your issue.

How do I identify a Mira shower enclosure?

If you do not have any paperwork to confirm this for you, all of our enclosures will have a Mira, Kohler, or Daryl logo located on the glass. It is usually found in the top corner. If your enclosure does not have this, then it is unlikely to be our product. If this is the case, we'd recommend that you check the paperwork that came with the enclosure or ask your installer to see if they can help you identify the manufacturer.

How do I install the Mira Leap shower enclosure infill strip?

Please ensure the infill strip seal is installed as illustrated in our Installation and User Guide, with the thicker section towards the outside of the shower enclosure.

The seal on my shower enclosure has split or torn.

Please ensure the shower tray is level. You can purchase replacement seals by contacting our Customer Service Team via our contact us form.

My shower enclosure door is not closing properly.

Please ensure the shower tray is level and the door frame is square. We would recommend you contact your installer to check the overall installation and adjust the door if required on the pivot hinge. Depending on the age, the door may have dropped.

My shower enclosure door won't stay closed.

Please ensure that the shower tray is level.

If the above does not resolve your issue, we would recommend you check that the rubber buffers are fitted into the frame to enable the door to shut. We would recommend you contact your installer to check the overall installation and adjust the door if required.

I have damage or a leak from my enclosure.

Ensure that the shower tray is level.

Check that the enclosure is only sealed on the outside of the door. It should also be sealed behind the wall channels and at the bottom where the wall channel is positioned.

Check that there is no damage to any of the seals and splash guards.

If the above checks do not resolve your issue, we recommend that you email us with photos of the following so that we can help you further.

- An overall view of the enclosure.
- A clear, close-up image of the door handle to aid identification.
- Image(s) of the fault. Please also include a video, where possible.
- A copy of the proof of purchase. If you are in a new build property over 2 years old, then please include a copy of the NHBC certificate instead.

Please email the above to traysandenclosures@mirashowers.com

How best to clean Mira shower enclosures?

We recommend rinsing the glass and frame with clear water after showering. You can remove water droplets with a squeegee; however, do not rub dry.

To clean the enclosure hygienically, we recommend using a biodegradable cleanser.

Chrome sections of the enclosure should only be cleaned with a product specifically specified for chrome.

How can I find or get a spare part for my shower enclosure?

All Mira enclosures have seals/spare parts unique to the product. At the back of your Installation and User Guide, you can find an exploded spare parts diagram. Please take a note of the part number(s) you require, then contact our Customer Service team. If the part(s) you need are current items, then you can purchase them directly over the telephone.

If you do not have this information to hand, but can provide the enclosure product name i.e., Ace, Ascend, Beam, Elevate, Flight SFE, Leap etc., please contact our Customer Service team for further advice.
