Your daily shower routine
Create a therapeutic shower experience with the following steps:
Begin with 2-3 minutes of warm water (38-40°C) to relax your muscles.
Switch to cold water (10-15°C) for 30-60 seconds.
Repeat this cycle 3-4 times, always ending with cold water.
Start gradually, beginning with lukewarm-to-cool transitions and shorter durations while building up your tolerance over 1-2 weeks. Morning sessions should end with cold water to energise you, while evening routines should end with warm water to relax you.
Deep breathing during cold phases helps manage the shock and maximises the benefits. Avoid contrast therapy if you have heart conditions, are pregnant, or are feeling unwell.
