Shower Pumps.

Shower pumps are booster pumps designed to enhance the flow of your mixer shower, ensuring a steady, high-pressure stream. Shower pumps, also known as water pumps, work best on gravity fed systems which often suffer from water pressure issues. Determining where your cold water storage tank is in relation to your shower head, will affect your choice of shower booster pump. Where the tank is above your showerhead, a positive head pump is needed, whereas, if the tank is level to-, or below your shower, a negative head pump is required. Another factor to consider when buying shower pumps, is their 'bar' rating - the higher the bar rating, the higher the pressure output. Mira shower pumps are available in twin ended options, meaning they are attached to both the cold and hot water supplies. Mira offers pumps with ratings of 1.5 bar and 2.0 bar, which both generate a flow rate of up to 32 litres per minute. The 1.5 bar shower pump is ideal for normal showers, while the 2.0 bar pump is perfect for power showers and larger shower heads to enhance their flow adequately.
