Why Does My Electric Shower Keep Switching Between Hot and Cold?

Please ensure there is a sufficient water supply to the shower and that your stop tap is fully open.

Turn the top dial to the Low setting and the dial below fully anti-clockwise to full cold.

Then, very slowly turn the bottom dial clockwise.

Next, turn the bottom dial back to full cold and the top dial to Medium/Eco.

Then, slowly turn the bottom dial clockwise to a comfortably warm temperature.

If this does not resolve the issue:

• Remove the showerhead – Unscrew the showerhead from the hose (it comes off like a bottle top).
• Test the water flow – Lower the shower hose into the bath or shower tray and run the shower.
• Identify the issue – If the water runs correctly without the showerhead, this suggests the showerhead is blocked.
• Prevent future blockages – Regular cleaning of the showerhead can improve performance and prevent poor water flow.

If this has still not resolved the issue:

• Unscrew the shower hose and run water through (over your water catchment area, i.e. shower cubicle or your bath). Read our helpful guide on, how to remove a shower hose if needed.
• If the shower runs correctly without the hose, it indicates that your shower hose has a blockage where it could be kinked, or the lining has collapsed.
