Please see below our recommendations for resolving the drip from your mixer shower. If none of the suggestions resolve your problem, you can book a service repair online or contact our Customer Service team by using the contact us form.
It is perfectly normal for a small amount of residual water to drip from the shower for a short period of time. On high pressure systems water may also release from the head when other outlets are turned on. This is normal too and is caused by pulse pressures in the system.
Please read our helpful guide on Residual water - Deluge head releasing water.
Should your shower continue to drip for long periods of time or not stop at all, follow the troubleshooting below:
Is this a new or recent installation?
Contact your installer to check the water pressure to the shower is not excessive. Water hammer (where the installation pipework sometimes knocks when operating outlets) may occur.
The maximum pressure should not exceed 5 bar maintained/10 bar static.
For the tradesperson: If the water pressure exceeds 5 bar maintained/10 bar static a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) may need to be installed as close to and after the property's incoming cold mains stop tap.
Is this an existing installation?
Please ensure the water pressure to the shower is not excessive. The maximum pressure should not exceed 5 bar maintained/10 bar static.
If water hammer occurs (where the installation pipework sometimes knocks when operating outlets) we would recommend you contact the Water Board to check your water pressure.
If the shower is connected to an Unvented Cylinder, has the system been serviced and the expansion vessel checked?
If unsure we recommend that you contact your installer to investigate this.
