After showering, we recommend you rinse the shower tray down with water until clear running water is running through the waste. Then this will avoid the build-up of soapy water left on the shower tray which, over time if left to build up, will cause discolouration.
We recommend cleaning your shower tray with hot soapy water and the tray should be wiped dry with a lint free cloth. You can also use a soft brush to clean an anti-slip tray. Particular care must be taken not to damage the manufacturing logo.
We do NOT recommend the use of the following:
- Grout/tile cleaners
- Scale removers
- Abrasive scourers
- Drain unblockers
- Any other powerful detergents that may lead to damage of metallic, plated and plastic services, including the tray and shower waste.
The acrylic ABS surface of our shower trays has good resistance properties to acids but should not come into contact with alkalies or organic solvents, such as caustic soda, dry cleaning agents and paint strippers and strong acids. Should the shower tray be subjected to any non-approved substance it must be cleaned immediately. Particular care must be taken not to damage the manufacturing logo.
Cleaners of a gritty or abrasive nature should never be used.
On Flight Shower Trays that have the Safe finish (anti-slip coating) included on the shower tray, extra care should be taken when cleaning the anti-slip surface.
For the Mira Flight Level shower trays the waste cover and trap (tube) section can be removed, enabling easy cleaning. The waste cover has an integrated hair catcher that should be cleaned regularly to avoid blockages which can therefore cause a reduction in flow rate.
Regularly clean the waste to ensure correct operation.
