Over time, shower hoses can wear out or become clogged, affecting water flow and performance. Whether you're replacing an old hose or troubleshooting water pressure issues, removing a shower hose is a quick and straightforward task. In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to safely detach your shower hose, ensuring a hassle-free process.
First you need to follow the steps below to remove the showerhead:
- Ensure the shower is turned off
- Remove the showerhead from the holder
- Grasp the hose to ensure it remains stationary
- Unscrew the showerhead in an anti-clockwise motion - be aware a small amount of water may be present
- Please be careful not to lose the hose washer
Once the showerhead is removed please proceed with the following:
- Grasp the hose near to the point where it connects to the shower/water outlet
- Place one hand on the shower/water outlet itself to prevent it being moved if the hose is difficult to turn
- Unscrew the hose in an anti-clockwise motion - once again being aware that there may be residual water inside the hose
- Please be careful not to lose the hose washer
