Our survey found that the most common items lurking in bathroom cabinets include used spare toothbrushes, half used products and gifted toiletries. 42% of Brits admitted to opening new products before finishing old ones, even though over 70% of respondents know that items such as shampoo and conditioner bottles can be easily recycled.
Despite this, our survey proved that cleaning can be good for both the body and the mind. 53% of respondents said that having a big clear out makes them feel good, whilst 48% of individuals claimed that cleaning makes them feel productive.
When it comes to finding advice on how to clear-out your bathroom successfully, a fifth of Brits admitted to still relying on their mum for guidance - followed closely by a Google search.
