Please see below our recommendations for resolving the temperature issue from your mixer shower. If none of the suggestions resolve your problem, you can book a service repair online or contact our Customer Service team by using the contact us form.
Is this a new installation?
When fitted to a combination boiler and there is not enough flow, the boiler may cycle on and off causing the temperature to fluctuate. If this is a recent installation, check the shower has been fitted to a fully modulating boiler.
Is this an existing installation?
Does the temperature fluctuation only occur when other water outlets within the property are operated at the same time as the shower?
Please note that any appliance that uses water is classed as a water outlet. This includes washing machines, dish washers, hoses and toilets.
Using other outlets reduces the water pressure going to the shower which can cause temperature fluctuations.
If this does not resolve the issue:
- Try removing the showerhead from the shower hose (unscrews like a bottle top)
- Drop the shower hose down into bath or shower tray and run the shower
- If the shower runs correctly without the showerhead it indicates that the showerhead is blocked
- Poor shower performance can be avoided by regular cleaning of the showerhead
Please read our helpful guides here on How to remove a showerhead and How to clean your showerhead from limescale.
If this has still not resolved the issue:
- Unscrew the shower hose and run water through (over your water catchment area, i.e. shower cubicle or your bath. Read our helpful guide on, How to remove a shower hose if you need
- If the shower runs correctly without the hose, it indicates that your shower hose has a blockage where it could be kinked, or the lining has collapsed.
- We would recommend replacing your shower hose. View our range of compatible shower hoses.
If this has not resolved the issue:
Check to see if there is a flow regulator in the top of the shower hose (a small coloured disk). This helps to regulate the flow and temperature on high pressure systems. Please contact our Customer Services Team to purchase. Please note: Do not fit flow regulators in TMV2 applications.
If this has not resolved the issue:
Adjust the maximum temperature setting. This can be found under "Commissioning" in the Installation and User Guide. If you would like to view an online copy of the installation guide please click here to search for your product information.
If this has not resolved the issue, please contact our Customer Service Team for potential repair options. You can reach our Customer Service Team by using the contact us form. To purchase spare parts please click here.
