Please see below our recommendations for resolving the noise from your mixer shower. If none of the suggestions resolve your problem, you can book a service repair online or contact our Customer Service team by using the contact us form.
Is this an existing installation?
Turn the shower on, once the noise starts turn on the cold basin tap. If the noise reduces or disappears there may be a problem with your supply.
For the tradesperson: If the water pressure exceeds 5 bar maintained/10 bar static a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) may need to be installed as close to and after the property's incoming cold mains stop tap.
If this does not resolve the issue:
- Try removing the showerhead from the shower hose (unscrews like a bottle top)
- Drop the shower hose down into bath or shower tray and run the shower
- If the shower runs correctly without the showerhead it indicates that the showerhead is blocked
Poor shower performance can be avoided by regular cleaning of the showerhead. Please read our helpful guides here on How to remove a showerhead and How to clean your showerhead from limescale.
If this has still not resolved the issue:
- Unscrew the shower hose and run water through (over your water catchment area, i.e. shower cubicle or your bath. Read our helpful guide on, How to remove a shower hose if you need
- If the shower runs correctly without the hose, it indicates that your shower hose has a blockage where it could be kinked, or the lining has collapsed.
- We would recommend replacing your shower hose. You can view our range of compatible shower hoses here
If this has not resolved the issue:
Check to see if there is a flow regulator in the top of the shower hose (a small coloured disk). This helps to regulate the flow and temperature on high pressure systems. Please contact our Customer Services Team to purchase. *Please note: Do not fit flow regulators in TMV2 applications*
If this has not resolved the issue:
This shower contains filters which we would recommend being checked by a qualified tradesperson.
